Top Whiskies From Around the World

Take a whisky-fuelled journey all the way around the globe, from the rolling hills of Ireland to the gum trees of our homeland.

Ten-year-old, multi award-winning, Arran Single Malt tastes of citrus and honey, liquorice and butterscotch… with the addition of water. The palate is classic Arran. The citrus notes have rounded with age and reveal new depths of character against a background of sweet oak and apple. The finish is sweet spice and coats the tongue with notes of hazelnut and cinnamon. The taste lingers like a fine whisky should. Find more more: thewhiskycompany.

Robust and complex, Slane Irish whisky is filled with layers of flavour as untamed as the stunning Irish landscape. Smooth with notes of oak and spice, each sip represents a journey through the wild countryside and the chance to uncover the subtle layers of the whisky’s labyrinthine character. It’s aged in virgin oak, unusual in Irish whisky, which adds another dimension to the end product and makes it more intriguing.

Matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in an Aussie port cask, this single malt exhibits spice and fruit aromas when neat. A splash of water unleashes malted barley, aromas of vanilla and port, with hints of honey, raisins and warm spices. An absolute top-shelf whisky, Limeburners won Gold in the China Wine & Spirits Awards 2019 and  Silver at the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards in 2019.

Buffalo Trace

This deep amber whisky has a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. By itself, it’s pleasantly sweet to the taste with notes of brown sugar and spice that give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. It rolls over the tongue easily and this whisky finishes long
and smooth with serious depth. Perfect for sipping on ice or mixing.

Kurayoshi Pure Malt Japanese Whisky

This three-year-old whisky matured in a bourbon cask strikes a balance between oak and sweet malt on the nose, with gentle fruitiness emerging, as well as bready notes and hints of popcorn. There’s subtle poached orchard fruit flavours (apple/pear), a splash
of vanilla and a thrust of spicy warmth, with a medium dry, oily finish and low-key peat.

Featuring Kavalan’s signature fruity sweetness and full body, Distillery Select has been aged in quality casks to lock in rich layers of butterscotch, toffee and vanilla that intensify into a long, encored finish. Versatile and super smooth, Kavalan can be enjoyed in cocktails or neat. A distinct and smooth whisky, this single malt is a hugely satisfying experience to savour again and again. And again.
