An advertisement for Hydrodol, which we published on this website, should not have been published.

In the advertisement we unlawfully made claims that the product will prevent hangovers and the wording of the advertisement as a whole amounted to a claim that the products advertised would invariably be effective and that they constituted a sure cure.
A complaint about the advertisement was recently upheld by the Complaints Resolution Panel. We provided no evidence whatsoever to support the representations we made and the Panel found the claims were unlawful in breach of the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code and Therapeutic Goods Act.

The Panel therefore requested that BioRevive Pty Ltd and Men’s Fitness Magazine (Odysseus Publishing Pty Ltd) publish this retraction.
