Last Action Hero

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a stunt man for a day? MF‘s Tim Spicer learnt the tricks of the trade at a stunt and special effects training session.

Working with with Hollywood professionals – including Grant Page, stunt coordinator on Mad Max, and Kyle Rowling, fight director on Star Wars Episodes II & III – Tim learnt hand to hand combat sequences and recreated a scene from Man on a Ledge, where he leapt between platforms  while wired to a harness.

Shooting against a green screen in the Australian Film Television and Radio studio in Sydney, professional producers and editors created the dramatic action footage in the video below.

The action hero training day was arranged to celebrate the release of three major action films from Universal Sony Pictures,  Contraband, Man on a Ledge and Safe House, which are now available to buy on Blu-ray and DVD.
